Authentic Insurance is an insurtech company redefining how businesses of all sizes access and manage coverage. Authentic enables partners to launch and operate their own insurance programs - handling everything from underwriting and compliance to claims and reinsurance - without the heavy infrastructure or cost of becoming a carrier.

Authentic and Snowflake 

Authentic primarily uses Snowflake to store all of its data from disparate sources and also to write ad hoc queries. Both their external and internal facing dashboards rely on Snowflake.

Their Snowflake spend was slowly increasing before they started using Espresso, and they anticipated it increasing quickly as they began to scale rapidly. 

Cost saving was a priority because not only were they expecting both their business to scale, but they also were planning to integrate more external data sources and build more data models. They quickly realized Snowflake was going to become quite expensive.
